Tour of our {Home} School Room

A few weeks ago I gave a quick tour of the changes that we made to our school room.  Today I am going to go through with a lot more detail about how I have it set up.  So here is a little reminder of what our school room looks like.

In our Expedit shelving unit we have a LOT of stuff!  I'll go through what is stored in most of the cubbies.

The first cubby houses some of my things, it has our home management binder, our school binder, and the My Fathers World teachers manuals.  I also have our Tot School things stored here.  The pointer is up here because they think its a Light Saber and that never ends good!

Next I have a few random things, I have our Truth in the Tinsel binder, some page protectors and the Handwriting Without Tears chalkboards.  I also keep the other Teachers Manuals in here along with our Song School Latin Cards, and All About Spelling extra tiles.

This is Elijah's cubby, in here we keep his binders.  He has three binders that he will be using this year, they are his Daily Learning Notebook, a general school binder, and then his My Fathers World Geography and History binder.  I also am keeping his Math U See blocks, and All About Spelling cards in here.

Next is Noah's cubby, he also is going to be using three binders this year.  One is his Daily Learning Notebook, one is a general school binder (his is filled with extra papers to do), and then his My Fathers World Kindergarten binder.  I also have some Kumon workbooks, extra dry erase books, and assorted other items in his cubby.

Starting in the second row, I have another cubby for some of my things, it has the tissues and our calendar items.  I also have a file folder of random things that we may use through out the year, like the Book It forms, monthly printables, etc.

Then I have our CD player and CD's.  We have a lot of music that we listen to from time to time, but  our new favorites are Audio Books!  My boys are just now getting into the Adventures in Odyssey.

This next cubby sits directly under Elijah's and has his read aloud books, Bible, Cub Scout book, Awana Book, and assignment book.  We also keep a few devotionals for him to do in here.

Next is some file folder games, Lauri puzzles, and some of our toddler toys.  This cubby is actually in the third row.
As far as the rest of the Expedit goes, it has a lot of toys and puzzles.  I will explain what we use for our toddler in another post.

For their Book Baskets, which is something that goes along with the My Fathers World curriculum, I found these sturdy baskets at Marshalls and they are perfect!  I have them labeled with their names and when its time for them to do Book Baskets they can go and grab it and take it wherever they want.  These are in our closet, since I ran out of space in the Expedit.

That is a basic overview of how I have things organized this year.

This post is linking up to the iHomeschool Networks 5th Annual Not Back to School hop!  Be sure to hop on over and check out all the other homeschool spaces this week!
